The Super Bowl ended up not being that super. There wasn’t much of a game, the halftime show sucked, and a good majority of the commercials were not entertaining. The whole thing just left me with a sour taste in my mouth. I am sure some people were happy with the results, but overall it was a lackluster event.
But, there were a few standout commercials that were worth watching. In fact, they were worth watching then and I think they are worth watching now. Three that stood out for me:
“Last Year’s Lemons”
“Certain Is Better”
Those were the ones I enjoyed the most. How about you? Did you watch the Super Bowl? Did you see he commercials in the week before the game? Did you skip the whole thing altogether and just ignore the fact that it was even on?
Piss and Moan 
This was the first time in years that I watched an entire Super Bowl. The prospect of seeing Tom Brady win a seventh ring was just too much for me to pass up. My personal favorite ad was the one for M&M’s. I could relate to the guy coming out of the confessional and saying to the priest, “I wish you didn’t have to hear all that.” The neighbor Karen receiving two bags of apology M&M’s was pretty funny too. And yes, the halftime show had me watching the clock waiting for it to end.

Yes, the M&M commercials were pretty good. I almost considered expanding my list to include them, but I wasn’t really sure how many people would even read so I kept it at three.
As far as the halftime show, I guess I can now say that I have never wanted the Weeknd to be over any faster. 😉
